UP Trap

Outdoor Mosquito Trap

Portable

7″ Tall
Product Description
This portable, versatile, and long-lasting mosquito trap attracts and kills container-breeding mosquito populations that love nesting around households, parks, and other outdoor places, especially those close to water sources. The UP trap does not require power supply or charging. Just add water and an attractant (optional), and then replace it every 90 days. This mosquito control product functions as both the ovitrap and the kill trap or can be used as one of them. An ovitrap mimics the preferred breeding site for day-biting mosquitoes and traps them inside, while a kill trap prevents mosquitos lured into the container from escaping by adding an attractant which kills trapped insects. With a lightweight design, you can move the UP trap around and hang it by the hook anywhere outside your property. This 6″ tall mosquito trap will help you create a peaceful and buzzing-free outdoor environment at your lake house or farm, urban backyard or garden. It also comes in handy for golf clubs, ranches, school grounds, and outdoor places alike.
3 application options – ovitrap, kill trap, both

No power required – add water and/or pesticide

Easy to install – hang by the hook anywhere outdoors

Made out of a biodegradable material

Portable, leakproof, easy to clean

How does the UP trap work?
To lay eggs female day-biting mosquitoes require blood for nourishment, which they get from humans and animals. They then look for wet places to create the nest. The UP trap mimics their preferred environment through water, attractant and/or pesticide strip added to the container. Attractants have such composition that mosquito's senses confuse it with a host and fly right to it. When the insect gets into the trap through the inner funnel, it cannot escape and stays entrapped inside. If you use the UP trap as an ovitrap, mosquitoes and their eggs die from the lack of nourishment. When you add attractant or pesticide to the container, aka using it as a kill trap, then pests get poisoned and die off quickly.
What is ovitrap?
By adding water into the container you create a perfect breeding site for day-biting container-breeding mosquitoes. They get attracted by the moisture the trap gives off and once inside, mosquitos lay eggs but cannot leave the trap and die.
    What is a kill trap?
A kill trap is created when an attractant or a pesticide strip is added to the container. It lures mosquitoes in, prevents them from escaping, and kills trapped insects.
How often should I replace water and/or attractant?
The frequency of replacing water and/or attractant will depend on the weather conditions and the quality of the attractant. Under normal moisture conditions and with a good quality attractant, you can change them every ninety days. To ensure continuous operation of the trap and effective results, it is advised to check the trap on a regular basis.
How soon can I expect positive results from using the mosquito trap?
The trap will start to catch mosquitoes once set up. But to interrupt their breeding cycles and to reduce their population, it might take six to eight weeks. It is important to locate the most effective spot for the trap. Therefore, move it around your property until you see best results. Usually, these are areas located upwind of the main breeding area (creek, lake, swamp, etc.).
